Dr. Chantal Murekatete is a consultant psychiatrist at King Faisal Hospital, where she serves as the lead of the Ketamine Treatment and Research Center. Her clinical and research interests focus on treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions, including major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, alcohol use disorder, and patients presenting with suicidal ideation or attempts. Under her leadership, KTRC has introduced evidence-based, innovative interventions for individuals who have not responded to conventional therapies. Dr. Murekatete is committed to advancing mental health services in Rwanda through clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentorship of future professionals. Her work contributes significantly to improving access to specialized psychiatric care and reducing stigma associated with severe mental illness.

Pacifique prepares treatment rooms, checks vital signs, and reviews medical histories to confirm readiness for each infusion. During sessions, she closely monitors patients’ physical and emotional responses, adjusting care as needed and providing calm, reassuring support throughout the psychedelic experience. She also educates patients and families about the infusion process, collaborates with psychiatrists and therapists on individualized treatment plans, and maintains meticulous clinical documentation. Dr. Cindi Cassady serves as Senior Clinical Psychologist at King Faisal Hospital’s innovative Ketamine Clinic, the first of its kind in Rwanda and the broader East–Central African region. She provides comprehensive psychological assessment, individualized treatment planning, and integrative psychotherapy for patients undergoing ketamine-assisted therapy for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and related mood disorders.
With more than 40 years of experience working with marginalized and trauma-affected populations, Dr. Cassady ensures that care is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. She also mentors mental-health professionals, contributes to clinical protocol development, and supports research aimed at advancing psychedelic-assisted therapies and expanding access to cutting-edge mental-health treatments across Rwanda and Africa.
Dr Lisa Ndejuru

Dr. Lisa Ndejuru is a Senior Psychotherapist at the Ketamine Treatment & Research Center (KTRC) at King Faisal Hospital in Kigali. She provides psychotherapy, preparation, and integration support for patients undergoing ketamine-assisted treatment for depression, trauma-related conditions, and anxiety.
Her work focuses on the role of psychotherapy within medical treatment, supporting patients to make sense of their experiences and translate them into lasting change. Her approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and attentive to cultural context.
Dr. Ndejuru is a licensed psychotherapist in Quebec, Canada, and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at Concordia University. She contributes to clinical protocol development, therapist training, and the advancement of context-responsive mental-health care.

She maintains up-to-date patient records, coordinates admissions and discharges, and works closely with clinical, finance, and administrative teams to keep every visit smooth and stress-free. Drawing on her strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in healthcare administration, she ensures that each patient receives efficient, compassionate support from the moment they arrive until their treatment is complete.
